Chennai Spartans unveiled their Logo and Player Jersey during their Press Meet function held on Thursday, Jan 3, at Leela Palace (MRC Nagar, Chennai) ahead of the inaugural Pro Volleyball League season to be staged in Chennai and Kochi from Feb 2 to Feb 22. Attended by top officials of the Franchise’s Promoters Kals Group & Sri Progressive Projects, the Volleyball Federation of India, among others, the event also witnessed the introduction of Team Players as well as the launch of the franchise’s Website.
The Chennai Spartans are one of six teams in Pro Volleyball that also features Ahmedabad Defenders, Calicut Heroes, U Mumba Volley, Hyderabad Black Hawks and Kochi Blue Spikers. Mr Rajasekaran Sivaprakasam, Chairman, Kals Group, unveiled the Logo while Mr. Vasudevan Sivaprakasam & Mr Ramavtar Singh Jakhar, President & General Secretary respectively of Volleyball Federation of India, launched the Jersey and Mr Hamini Reddy, Director, Chennai Spartans, launched the Website. “Chennai Spartans will open the corridors of our Corporate Social Endeavour besides taking this sport to the next levels in line with Global Standards”, said Mr Rajasekaran Sivaprakasam- Chennai Spartans Chairperson. “Spartans is all about winning spirit embedded with highest order of code of ethics & disciplinary standards and we believe this will be the core recipe to win & create hallmarks for Chennai, which is the hotbed of Volley Aspirants”, said Dr. Uppiliappan Gopalan – Chennai Spartans Corporate Branding Head.
